The mission of the Sustainable Food Lab (SFL)  is to bring sustainable food supplies into the mainstream and foster collaborative learning across the supply chain.  Through this mission, SFL’s goals are to accelerate the shift toward sustainability; facilitate market-based solutions to key issues including climate, soil, poverty and water that are necessary for a healthy and sustainable food system to feed a growing world; and use collaborative learning to incubate innovation at every stage along the supply chain from production to distribution  (
